Ojai Raptor Center

Zoe Hewitt hosts our newest series: Nonprofit Party!  This series is designed to give viewers a glimpse into various nonprofit organizations.  Who knows...perhaps it will help you determine the cause you'd like to help!

For our first episode, the cameras followed Zoe to the Ojai Raptor Center. Raptors are birds that hunt with their talons and this nonprofit is dedicated to their rescue, rehabilitation and release.  Zoe had the opportunity to get up close and personal with Newton, one of the educational birds.

Take a look below to see how the pair learned to speak each other's language...

Hooray for HollyWOOF

Red Carpet Rundown covered the Dogs for the Deaf and Generation Rescue fundraiser Hooray for HollyWOOF on August 4th.  The event was chaired by animal-lover extraordinaire Betty White.

Dogs for the Deaf trains and subsequently pairs shelter rescue dogs with people around the United States who live with a variety of challenges.  This wonderful organization performs their work at no fee to the people they service.

Each year, Generation Rescue helps more than 25,000 autistic people and their family members with everything from medical assistance to education.  Many of these families benefit from the dogs that Dogs for the Deaf train and place.

It's a wonderful synergy between two great non-profit organizations!

"Desperate Housewives" & The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Team Up

Zoe Hewitt took the Red Carpet Rundown crew up to cover the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's 2nd Annual Block Party on Wisteria Lane, home of the Desperate Housewives.  The wives, such as Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman and Vanessa Williams, all made an appearance along with some of their male counterparts: James Denton and Kevin Rahm.

The fantastic Band from TV, put together by "Hero" Greg Grunberg, played well into the night.

Other celebrities on the carpet included Andrea Bowen and Ariel Winter, one of the stars of Modern Family.

Plus, learn about a brand new drug that's curing 4% of the population with Cystic Fibrosis.

Challenge Met!

At the Night of 100 Stars Oscar party in February, actor Ken Davitian (Borat, The Artist, Get Smart) promised Red Carpet Rundown host Zoe Hewitt hot dogs at The Infield, his hot dog stand, if she showed up.  Ken didn't believe she would.

Zoe rose to the challenge and brought the All Around cameras to document her meal with Ken as the two discussed the stand, inside stories from his famous naked fight scene in Borat: Cultural Learnings of America... and the Armenian genocide.

2012 Academy Awards Party

Zoe Hewitt covered the Night of 100 Stars Oscar viewing party for the third season premiere of Red Carpet Rundown.  Rather than posting a fully edited segment, we've decided to post the full interviews with some of the celebrities from the event.  Everyone was in a great mood and there was a lot of laughter on the carpet.  Pay close attention to the interview with funny-man Ken Davitian (The Artist, Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Glorious Benefit of Kazakhstan) who invited our cameras to join him at his restaurant.  We'll be there...but will he?

Also, learn about Jason Ritter's new pilot, County, and how it differs from other medical shows on television and the possibility of In Living Color coming back to television from Tommy Davidson!

43rd NAACP Image Awards Luncheon

Host Zoe Hewitt took the Red Carpet Rundown cameras to the Beverly Hills Hotel to cover the 43rd Annual NAACP Image Awards Luncheon. Founded in 1909, the organization is the largest and oldest civil rights organization in the country. Each year it seeks to honor those who may not otherwise be recognized by mainstream media in the categories of acting, writing/directing, literature and music.

Watch the segment below to see Zoe speak with notables in entertainment and find out what the NAACP means to them! Plus, how did Zoe react to seeing Tatyana Ali from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air? Watch and see!

We are making an exception and bringing you two full interviews with Chandra Wilson and Anika Noni Rose in addition to the segment above. So, if you want more of these fascinating (and friendly!) women, take a look (and listen) and what they had to say about their memorable characters:
